Robert began working with glass at the age of 16. Immediately following graduation, he went to work for Tadashi Torii in Atlanta, GA. After a few years studying underneath Torii, he moved to Seattle. At 19, Robert was a hired gun in the Seattle area, working with the world’s most skilled glass artists. He worked with Martin Blank consistently for five years. In that time, he was a gaffer, a cold worker, shipping supervisor, and his metal fabricator. Thru Martin, he entered Team Chihuly. In 2015, Robert assisted in the experimental color research and development for the Persian Series with Chihuly, Inc. Within the past several years, he has attended residencies, lectured and exhibited glass internationally.
Robert is currently living and working as an independent artist in Colorado.
